It suits any roof with enough pitch to shed water, typically 4:12 and steeper, though low-slope applications down to 2:12 are possible with a doubled underlayment. It's the standard choice for homes across Los Angeles County and Orange County with simple to moderately complex rooflines, and the granule surface holds up against strong UV and fire exposure in the California sun.

Questions About This System.

Square footage and roof pitch first, then the shingle grade, how many layers we're tearing off, and how much decking needs replacing once we open it up. Complexity matters too. Valleys, dormers, skylights, and chimneys all add flashing work. We give you a written price after the inspection, never a phone estimate.

Roughly 20 to 25 years for 3-tab, 30 to 40 for architectural, and 40 to 50 for luxury grades. Ventilation is the biggest variable. An under-vented attic in Los Angeles or Orange County will shorten any of those numbers.

Most homes across Los Angeles and Orange County are two to four days including tear-off, deck repair, and finish work. We dry the roof in the same day we tear off, so it's never left open overnight.
